Sun damaged skin
SUN DAMAGE
S. O. S.
Summer is coming and I think some tips might be useful for you
When your beauty or aesthetics practitioner tells you to use sunscreen, she/he means it and it is not an suggestion, this is an order
Even if England is not a Spain and we can not enjoy lots of sunny days round the year , sun can cause damage to our skin as ultraviolet light from the sun going through the clouds and permanently changes the skin’s structure.
Dark spots, sagging skin, wrinkles and discoloration betray the hours and days we’ve spent exposed to the elements. Unfortunately for sun lovers, sun damage can age our skin prematurely and increase our risk of developing skin cancer.
We spoke today with my clients about the sunscreen and the importance of sunscreen. One lady told me that even when was very cloudy day, she managed to get sunburn. Another lady asked what sunscreen would best for her skin.
So, my recommendations:
While you choosing a sun protection, keep in mind:
1. how long you will spend outdoors?
2. how often you can reapply the skin protection?
3. have you got recently any skin treatment, which can lead to hyperpigmentation such as chemical or laser carbon peel?
4. and finally, what is a type of your skin.
If you are going for a short walk, it would be enough to apply spf20-spf30, for a longer day out or after the skin treatments - use spf50.
If you have dry or very dry skin, use creams.
If your skin is sensitive, if you have any skin problems like eczema, I would recommend creams for kids/babies SPF 50+.
If you have oily skin with enlarge pores, use light consistency lotions or gels to avoid breakouts.
As well as sunscreens, drinking plenty of water is very important.
Skin boosters are one of the best treatments in Summer. The skin boosters are used to describe a family of nourishing facial aesthetic treatments using hyaluronic acid as a base. When Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is injected into our skin, it promotes skin rejuvenation and hydration. HA is a superhero when it comes to stimulating collagen, as well as it’s incredible capacity to retain water, HA works hard to keep skin smooth, plumped up and improves skins texture. Roughly half of the natural hyaluronic acid found in our bodies is present in our skin, where it helps retain moisture. However, during the natural aging process where we’re exposed to sun, pollution and other toxins (tobacco, alcohol, sugar) HA decreases within the skin. This can present itself as tired/fatigued skin which is likely to sag and loose elasticity. In other words… in need of a boost!
I hope my advise will help you to get ready for the quickly approaching Summer season
