Wrinkle blocking injections
Wrinkle blocking injections
The injections block certain chemical signals from nerves, mostly signals that cause muscles to contract. The most common use of these injections is to temporarily relax the facial muscles that cause wrinkles. So, the injections are used to smooth lines and wrinkles for a younger, more rejuvenated look. They are most often used to treat:
Frown lines
Worry lines
Crows feet
Lip lines
Gummy smile
Lower face treatment to improve jawline and appearance of neck, known as ‘Nephertite lift’.
Prior the treatment you will have a consultation with prescriber nurse, who will tell you if you are suitable for the treatment as well she prescribes medicine, which pharmacy sends to our studio where the medicament will be injected by the qualified practitioner.
Contraindications.
Except in exceptional circumstances this is not a treatment recommended for those under 25 or over 65.
For best results skin should be in good condition and the target lines not too furrowed.

Treatment is not recommended if you are suffering from any skin infection in or near the treatment area or are unwell in any way (even a cold).

Before the treatment:
Please book an appointment at least 2 weeks in advance. The consultation and medication ordering take time.
For 48 hours, do not consume products with ethyl alcohol: sweets, cakes, alcohol. An important point! The required refusal is directly related to the consequences. If we inject botulinum toxin while ethyl alcohol is still present in the body, an ambiguous reaction of the body occurs.
If you are taking thinning medications (including heparin), withdrawal counseling is required. The injections while taking thinning medications can cause bruising at the injection site.
Aftercare
It is recommended to do facial gymnastics straight after the treatment: open mouth wide, frown, and smile. This technique will allow you to evenly distribute the drug and avoid excessive exposure to the muscles.
Do not!!!:
Don't apply makeup for 24 hours
Don't have facial massages or electrical stimulation of the face for the next 2 weeks.
Don't pressure your face when cleansing and avoid wearing tight caps or garments in the area that has been injected
Don't do strenuous exercise for 24 hours after treatment
Don't lie or bend for 4 hours - keep upright.
Don't use a sauna, sunbed, alcohol for 48 hours.
After treatment, it is expected that you will start to see an improvement within 5 days. The full result may be judged at 2-3 weeks. You will be invited to attend a review appointment at 2-3 weeks for assessment and if necessary for top up. The result lasts 3-4 months. It depends on your lifestyle and the strength of your muscles.
